To be admitted to the FIU School of Music, you must first be admitted to FIU (see FIU Admissions ) and then successfully audition for the School of Music. Admission to the university is very selective and you are urged to submit your application as early as possible.
Music auditions for the 2010/2011 academic year will take place on the following dates:
Saturday November 21, 2009 (for January Admission)
Saturday February 13, 2010
Saturday March 6, 2010 (last day for scholarship consideration)
Saturday April 10, 2010
Music Theory and Music History Placement Exams will also be given on audition days.
