The Keyboard Studies Program at Florida International University's School of Music is designed to develop talented students into skilled professional performers. Through the studies and performance of standard as well as 20th Century repertoire, students are given a wide range of opportunities to develop their talents. The School of Music boasts over 50 pianos, a harpsichord, and a spectacular new Schantz organ.

 

Piano Performance Program

The Piano Performance Program at Florida International University School of Music is designed to prepare pianists with a vision for the new millenium. It aims to develop the performer of the future - a musician whose performing abilities are enhanced by an ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, superb teaching and accompanimental skills, technological expertise and a profound commitment to the development of the art form in society. The Piano Performance Program provides the student with a wide variety of performance opportunities including piano forums, student recitals, departmental recitals and orchestral appearances. The renowned faculty is commited to each student's musical development by providing the highest level of instruction. In addition, extraordinary guest artists are presented in performance and masterclasses. Recently, such guests have included Zenaida Manfugaz, Vladimir Felsman, Gary Graffman and Susan Starr.
